tremendous need in the area for multi-family uses and this was the

reason they were building the apartments. Vickie Lasiter then
"-
questioned what the rental amount would be for these apartments.

Mr. Buchanan felt that the apartments would be comparable to some

in the Plainfield area that were nice apartments and rented in the
area of $400 - $500 a month. Gary Reichanadter then questioned
where the lighting would be for this project. He stated that the
lighting should not be directed toward the Marleywood residential
area and requested that the Board put some restriction on the
developer concerning the lighting. The Board's Attorney advised
that restrictions on a rezoning were not allowed, although the

request was certainly valid and one which the developer should

look into. Signe Nicholson had a question concerning the Bridge

Street extension and who would own it after it had been developed.

The developer advised that it was their intent to have the area

annexed and all thoroughfares turned over and dedicated to the

Town of Mooresville upon completion. Signe Nicholson also had a

question concerning the land use plan and the Board reviewed the

map. The Board then proceeded to further discussion with Steve

Edwards moving to approve all three of the rezonings and to

recommend to the Town Council that the 38 acre tract shown

adjoining State Road 67 be rezoned from AR to GB, that the 20 acre

tract directly behind the 38 acre tract be rezoned from AR to B-

Residential and lastly, that the 39.5 acre tract furthest east be

rezoned from AR to A-Single Family Dwelling. This was seconded by

Dave Barry and unanimously passed. The Board then reviewed the

preliminary plat and found it to be in substantial compliance.

'--

-6-
