<br />against granting an extension and then hearing an additional <br /> <br /> <br />extension request next month. Robert Tucker stated that he felt <br /> <br /> <br />it was time for Mr. Graybill to evaluate whether or not he should <br /> <br />tear this structure down or rebuild it. Signe Nicholson stated <br />that she felt Mr. Graybill had been put on notice sufficiently to <br />have started the work and have it done, or at least, have a <br /> <br />portion of it done. Steve Edwards felt that the property was not <br /> <br /> <br />worth putting the additional monies in but acknowledged this was <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Graybill's decision, if he could timely do it. Chairman Beebe <br /> <br /> <br />then requested a motion and William Abbott made a motion that the <br /> <br /> <br />Board, pursuant to the evidence being heard, find that this is an <br /> <br /> <br />unsafe building as itemized in the order sent to Mr. Graybill. <br /> <br /> <br />This was seconded by Steve Edwards and unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> <br />William Abbott also made a motion to grant a 30 day extension if <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Graybill presented a signed contract by a builder showing the <br /> <br /> <br />work can be done within 30 days from the date of the letter, with <br /> <br /> <br />said letter to be provided within a week from the date of this <br /> <br /> <br />public hearing and the work to be completed within 30 days of the <br /> <br /> <br />letter. The Board's Attorney advised that this would necessitate <br /> <br /> <br />an additional meeting to evaluate this and that the contractor <br /> <br /> <br />would not be a party to this. After further discussion, Bill <br /> <br /> <br />Abbott withdrew his motion. The Board's Attorney advised of the <br /> <br /> <br />state statute providing for performance bonds under certain <br /> <br /> <br />conditions and explained these to the Board. William Abbott then <br /> <br /> <br />moved to grant a 30 day extension from the date of the hearing <br /> <br /> <br />before the property was to be removed and specifically stated that <br /> <br /> <br />the extension should be until the July meeting, provided that <br /> <br />-8- <br />
