I

Mr. Graybill produce a performance bond no later than June 26,
1989, at 4:30 p.m. in the amount of $3,500, with said bond to
insure that the unsafe building violations will be removed and
satisfied within the 30 day period or the bond would be forfeited
and the property would be removed. The deadline for the curing of
all violations was set at July 28, 1989, at 5:00 p.m. This was
seconded by Signe Nicholson and unanimously carried.
The next item to come before the Board was the unsafe
building violation at 5 E. Harrison Street. Building Inspector
Beikman explained that he had received a letter from the Kinnetts,
one of the owners, who stated that they would have the property
fixed by June 25th. He stated that it was their intent to cure
the property and then tear it down at a later date for some of the
woodworking inside. Chairman Beikman recommended that the Board
review this at the next meeting. Joe Beikman explained that the
roof on the east side of the annex was sagging and there was some
siding blown off the west edge, which made the property lack
sufficient weather resistant qualities. Robert Tucker made a
motion to find that the building is a unsafe structure. Steve
Edwards seconded the motion and it unanimously carried. The Board
then tabled the evaluation of a remedy to cure the property until
the meeting of July 27, 1989.
The next item to come before the Board was the unsafe

building violation on the property owned by Wade Duvall and

Associates. William Duvall was present along with Richard Moore,

his contractor. He stated that the brick veneer front had been

removed and that the new facing would be finished by the weekend,

-9-
