<br />~'INUTES JF' CALLED MEETING OF MOORESVILLE PLA:iNING COMMI$I:ON <br /> <br />September 22, 1969 <br />7:30 I'M <br />Municipal Bldg. <br /> <br />Members present: Winston Tackitt, Dale Heselman, Bob JOhnson, <br />Earl Magenheimer, Chairman George Worland, and lete RObinson, newly <br />!lppointed Building Inspector. Mr. Fred Corey, town attorney, was also <br />present. <br /> <br />The meeting was c!llled for the sole purpose to hea~,the re-zoning <br />of the 8 acres of l!lnd known as the Kay's Tr!lct lying east from <br />Indian!lpo111,Ro!ld. This would be changed from lA to lC. <br /> <br />Receipts were presented from the mailings to the adjacent property <br />owners. Three Property owners out of the 17 that were notified appeared <br />at the meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Dunn prsented several preliminary scetches and drwwings <br />showing the type of streets and sewer. proposed and architect <br />conceptions of what some of the apartments to be built on this acrerage <br />might look like. He stated they would make what ever changes that <br />would be ne c essery' . <br /> <br />Mr. Dunn also stated that nothing woul d be done on this project <br />until better sewage systems were provided by the town. He said that <br />this would be a privately owned venture and the town would not have <br />to maintain the streets, etc., as his corporation would do this. <br /> <br />Dr. Kenneth Comer, Morgan County Health Officer, told those <br />present about some out-of-county contractors that have turned some <br />of the sub-divisions into cesspools, such as Brookmore, Bethany, etc. <br />and that raw sewage was in the water supplies in these areas. Mr. <br />D!lvis from Martinsville and also from ~~AkJe~~~ BOard was with Dr. <br />Comer. Dr. Comer stated that he did no~ na'(t<J!'i.7. Dunn in mind in this <br />statment concerning these out-of-county contractors. <br />Mr. Richard Martin, property owner adjacent to the north of the <br />acerage st!lted his objections. His concern was with the tax situation <br />and also the trash and noise created by such an apartment complex. <br />Mr. Otis Davidson whose property !ldjoins the tract stated his concerns <br />which were like those of Mr. Martins. <br /> <br />After some discussion among the commission members present it was <br />moved by Earl Magenheimer and seconded by Dale Heshelman that the <br />matter would be tabled at present and taken under advisement until the <br />next stated meeting which would be on October 13, 1969. <br /> <br />The meeting was then adjourned. <br /> <br />Earl Magenheimer <br />Secretary <br /> <br />~ <br />
