M. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, John L. Clark, Tom <br /> Warthen, and Andy Pygman. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the February <br /> 2, 1999 minutes. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Det. Allen and Patrol Officer Bill Snyder requested the support of the Council in seeking the <br /> possibility ora change in the State Statute for buy back years for the Police & Fire 77 Pension <br /> Plan. At the present buyback is to age 35. Fireman Darrell Brown said first step is legal. After <br /> much discussion, President Mathis said he would meet with the fire and police representatives to <br /> see what could be done and then come back to the Council with the information. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to nominate Councilman <br /> Pygman and Councilman Warthen to the 1999 Health insurance Committee. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Councilman Warthen abstained and Councilman Pygman opposed. <br /> <br /> Street Commissioner Joe Beikman reported he is filing for reimbursement money for the snow <br /> emergency in January. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve Resolution 2, <br /> 1999 Federal Emergency Management Act naming Joe Beikman as representative.
