Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve <br /> immediate annexation of George H. Fields Property on Highway 67 South. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Police Commissioner Dennis Kneirm reported the new police cars are being equipped and <br /> should be on the streets shortly. <br /> <br /> EDC Director Harold Gutzwiler introduced Bill Montrie, new owner of Flagstaff Industrial Park <br /> who talked about Legislative Monitoring news. A hearing on H B 1608 is set for Wednesday, <br /> Feb. 17 at 1:30 P. M. Mr. Gutzwiler or President Mathis will try to be there to testify. <br /> <br />Under other business President Mathis explained that under the Salary Ordinance adopted the ~ <br />EDC assistant line item had money in the budget for a raise and that budget was adopted but .._.) <br />when the Salary Ordinance was adopted this was not thought of. After discussion, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to approve $8.50 per hour <br />retroactive to January 1, 1999 for the EDC assistant. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported thirty-three (33) calls, seven (7) impounded, and <br />four (4) returned. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve payment <br />of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, motion ,,vas made by <br />Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. M. Jim Parks of HNTB, Dan Tingle of WWTP, and <br />Sandra Perry Clerk Treasurer. <br /> <br />First bid opened was Maddox at $128,200. The proposal was signed, 5% bid bond included, <br />Form 96 with a non-collusion affidavit, financial statement, mandatory altemate-$1200.00, <br />added time of 30days, no alternate on the sludge pump and an additional $600.00 on the grinder. <br /> <br />Second bid opened was Bowen Eng. Corp. of $139,500. 5% bid bond included, Form 96 with a <br />non collusion affidavit and a financial statement, a deduction of $2000 for filter and heater and <br />no bids on the other items. <br /> <br />Jim Parks of HNTB made a "tentative" award to Maddox. <br /> <br />Sandra R.
