Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councihnan Clark to approve Ordinance <br />#9,2000 to rezone property oxvned by Tim Dunbar on Carlisle Street for doubles. Motion carried <br />4-1. Councilman Pygman opposed. <br /> <br />Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported fifty (50) calls, fourteen (14) impounds, and ten <br />(10) returned. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councihnan Dolen to approve Resolution <br />#5, 2000, confirmatory resolution for tax abatement for Riverside Stone. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve payment <br />of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, motion was made <br />by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />The next scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, June 20,2000 at <br />6:30 P. M. <br /> at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Town Council members present: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolcn, John L. Clark, Toin <br /> Warthen, and Andy Pygman. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councihnan Dolen to approve the minutes of <br /> June 6, 2000 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> First on the agenda, a Public Hearing for a Confirmatory Resolution for a ten year tax abatement <br /> for TOA Industries. Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Dolen <br /> to approve Resolution #5, 2000, Confirmatory Resolution, ten year tax abate~nent tbr TOA <br /> Industries. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve a parking <br /> ordinance for the comer of Franklin and Washington Streets to allow for a 75 foot no parking <br /> area. Motion carried 4-1. Councilman Warthen opposed. <br /> <br /> Due to a need for a special meeting on June 27, 2000 and the next regular scheduled meeting <br /> being on July 4th, a Holiday, the Council agreed to hold a regular meeting on June 27, 2000 and <br /> July 18, 2000. <br /> <br /> Next, attorney Mark Peden of Foley & Foley, represented the O'Dell family and their request for <br /> a rezone of two back lots located on East High Street from B-3 to I-1 for storage buildings. <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve the rezone to <br /> I-I. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty-one (21 ) calls, six (6) impounds, and three <br /> (3) returned. <br /> <br /> <br />
