President Mathis told the Council a nominee was needed for Plan Commission for Bill Abbott's <br />place and the other two town employees Tim Bennett and Andy l'ygman were up for nomination <br />also. Councilman Warthen nominated James Bruncr, employee of Moorcsvillc Fire Department, <br /> <br />to replace Bill Abbott who passed away in 1999. Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, <br />second by Councilman Clark to approve the three nominees: Andy Pygman, Tim Bennett, and <br />James Bruner to the Mooresville Plan Commission. Motion carried 4-0, one abstension being <br />Councilman Pygman. <br /> <br /> President Mark Mathis made Presidential appointments to the Mooresville Plan Commission of <br /> Joel Beebe and John Ehrhart for four year terms. Redevelopment Commission appointments of <br /> Dave Kollmeyer, Norm Connell, Brian Nelson, and re-appointments of Jim Hensley and Glen <br /> Barton. Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councihnan Dolen to approve <br /> the appointments. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Legal: Tim Currens told the Council that a contract with Mechanics Laundry was signed by <br /> someone unauthorized back in 1996. The contract was signed for a seven year period. The <br /> consensus of Council is for Attorney Currens to contact Mechanics Laundry. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twelve (12) calls, five (5) impounds, and one (1) <br /> returned. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councihnan Warthen to approve payment of <br /> the claims. Motion cardecd 5-0. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, motion was made by <br /> Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> The next meeting ofthe Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at 6:30 <br /> P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> John Larrison ofHolloway & Associates presented a sewer refund for Flagstaff Industrial Park <br /> that included bids: Broyer Construction $159,144.00 <br /> Hopkins 134,788.00 <br /> Perry Excavating 126,413.56 <br /> Corbitt & Sons 120,000.00 <br /> Swinney Bros. 111,254.50 <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Warthen to approve the low bici <br /> from Swinney Brothers Excavating for $111,254.50.
