There being no further business before the Moorcsville Town Council at this time, motion was <br />made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark, to adjourn the meeting. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> residc:Fnt, Mark <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> March 21, 2000 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Town Council met on Tuesday, March 21,2000, at 6:30 P. M. at tile <br />Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, John L. Clark, Tom <br /> Warthen and Andy Pygrnan. No members were absent. Town Attorney Tim Currens was <br /> present. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Pygman to approve minutes of <br /> March 7, 2000 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Bob Behning from the State Legislature presented Town of Mooresville with three checks for <br /> $50,000 each from Build Indiana Funds. He also reported on tile Airport Authority Board, the <br /> noise impact on our area, and the possibility ora third runway. He told the Council he would <br /> continue to work on getting a member on the Airport Authority Board. <br /> <br /> Next, Councilman Clark asked Council what could be done to lower speed limits in <br /> subdivisions. Town Attorney Tim Currens told the Council a traffic study would have to be <br /> completed to establish if there was a need. He said the Town would have to prove 85% of <br /> people traveling the street are traveling at that speed. They would need to sit for two hours on <br /> every street and if one traffic study was initiated, the Town would be asked to do every <br /> subdivision. Councilman Warthen had asked Street Commissioner Joe Beikman to make copies <br /> of procedures for each councilman. This item will be under unfinished business for April 4, <br /> 2000 meeting. <br /> <br /> This meeting was an advertised public hearing for additional appropriation of $8,545.00 from <br /> General Fund. No one was present to contest. All Councilmen were in favor of the Additional <br /> Appropriation became this was money receipted in late December, 1999, for Patrolman <br /> Yamell's totaled police car. This money will be transferred to Police budget under "leased <br /> vehicles". A resolution was signed by all councilmen. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-nine (29) call~, ten (10) impounds;, and <br /> four (4) returned. <br /> <br /> <br />
