Councilman Mathis reported to the council he had received a letter from HNTB for January 2000 thru December 2000, in which flows were 1.73 million gallons per day. Estimated expense for Wastewater Plant updates were given at 3.7 million dollars. Councilman Mathis and Councilman Pygman are working on ideas of where this money could be obtained. Councilman Pygman reported the wastewater treatment plant was trying to get a second sludge rake in operation at this time. Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty-nine (29) calls, six (6) impounds, and four (4) returned. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0 The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Sandra R. Randall Gating of the Mooresville Nazarene Church gave the prayer. Council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Andy Pygrnan, Toby Dolen, John L. Clark, and Mark Mathis. No members were absent. Attorney Steve Harris sat in for Tim Currens. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the minutes of March 20, 2001 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. was no one present to remonstrate for Additional Approriation from CCI hearing: There or against. This appropriation is for $2,000.00 to upgrade the siren on the Town Hall Building. Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the additional appropriation. Motion carried 5-0. A1 Hornaday, Brown Township Trustee, presented a request to the council for financial help to support the ambulance service. Mr. Homaday said the ambulance service was supported solely from user fees and Brown Township excluding Mooresville tax payers. His question is: how long can Brown Township excluding Town of Mooresville keep this up? The ambulance service now operates out of the township fire fund levy. He suggested merging and making a fire district or the Town of Mooresville contracting to them $50,000 to $100,000 dollars a year on a two year contract. Mr. Hornaday requested prompt and proper consideration retroactive to 01-01-01. This matter is to be taken under advisement with a date set of April 17, 2001 for an answer to the request.
