Street Commissioner Joe Beikman's estimate for the <br /> repairs was $150,000 to $ 200,000. President Warthen said this project would increase our <br /> capacity by limiting the amount of volume. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by <br /> Councilman Clark to approve letting of bids for the project to include finish grade and seeding.. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Colleen Leffier appeared before the council requesting a lighting agreement for Grandview <br /> subdivision. They are paying $21.00 per light at this time. The Town of Mooresville pays a <br /> standard cobra light amount of $14.87 in other subdivisions. Motion was made by Councilman <br /> Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve twenty-three lights at $14.87 each to be billed <br /> to Town of Mooresville quarterly. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve Jim Ransome <br /> and Jim Ellis to serve on the Prevailing Wage Board for three projects: 1. TOA Road Extension--2001 <br /> 2. Southside Sanitary Sewer Extension-2001 <br /> 3. Sewer Line Rehabilitation--2001 <br /> Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported: twenty-six (26) calls, four (4) impounds, and <br /> three (3) returned. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Maths to approve payment of <br /> the claims. February 28, 2001, at 9:00 A. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Members present: President Tom Warthen, Andy Pygman, Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, and John <br /> L. Clark. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> There was no agenda and no minutes to be approved. <br /> <br /> President Warthen thanking Councilman Maths and Councilman Dolen for serving on the <br /> committee to hire an EDC Director. The committee narrowed the applicants to three. These <br /> three have been interviewed keeping in mind they wanted local economic development <br /> experience and they preferred job experience also. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to hire Helen Humes for <br /> the position of Economic Development Director.
