Pam Sterrett was a no show again . She will be put on next meeting. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to approve Universal ~aluation evaluating the town properties for this year. Motion carried 5-0. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve and sign the Grandview Lighting Agreement. Motion carried 5-0. Police Commissioner Dennis Kniermintroduced the new police patrolman Tom Whitley. -. . ~ :: Fire Chief, Les Farmer informed the council the early warning sirens were tested on the previous day and there were some bugs on the return signal. This should be corrected within seven days. Judge Paul Sterrett reported to the council three bills for them to keep informed about: HB 1925-to allow cities and towns to be included in state health insurance program. HB 1130- allows courts to charge additional $5.00 for handling fees. Senate Bill 298--allows late fee of $25.00 added to all people who pay after 30 days. The money goes to the General Fund. Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported eighteen (18) calls, five (5) impounds, and one (1) returned. Town Council President introduced Helen Humes, new EDC Director. She begins work March 19, 2001. Dan Hilton of Indiana American Water Company reported they were beginning to pour new sidewalks on West Harrison Street as part of their new water line project. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. The next scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall.
