M~eting was adjourned by Town Council <br /> president Steve Edwards. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Town Council will be held on May 1 1990 <br /> at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. , <br /> <br /> ATi~ST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer ~ <br /> <br /> May 1, 1990 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council held their regular monthly meet- <br /> ing, Tuesday, May 1, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Steve <br /> Ballard, Jack Forbes and Steve Edwards. No council members were <br /> absent. <br /> <br /> Jenny Lou Manley, 21 Maryvale Court, addressed the <br /> Council <br /> in regard to the noise problem on Maryvale Court. She asked the <br /> Council if it would be possible for the council to enact a noise <br /> ordinance. Town attorney Tim Currens stated that the problem with <br /> a town noise ordinance is making it enforcable for everyone. Ms. <br /> Manley informed the Council that the Chitwood's were continually <br /> in violation of their probation, and she had been told that nothing <br /> could be done because the town does not have an ordinance for the <br /> problem of noise. Attorney Currens assured Mrs. Manley he would <br /> contact the prsecutor's office on this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Sterrett, 16 Victor Drive appeared before the board <br />in regard to the 20 mph speed limit on North Indiana Street at <br />Northwood Elementary School. Mr. Sterrett asked the board if it <br />would be possible to post that area at 20 mph with children present. <br />Attorney Tim Currens will review the ordinance on the speed limit <br />in this area and report to the Council. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Sandy Lundy asked the council why chemicals for the town <br />are purchased from so many different companies. Council President <br />Steve Edwards stated that the town purchases from the companies <br />which have the best prices. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to accept the mutual release of liability on an accident <br />on North Indiana Street, which occurred on November 12 1989 <br />Motion carried. ' ' <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br />Councilman Heald to approve the following transfer of funds: <br /> <br /> FROM AMOUNT TO <br /> <br />1-114 Firefighters $ 39,000.00 1-211 Overtime <br />1-264 Unemployment 1,000.00 1-211 Overtime <br />1-254 Allowances 3,000.00 1-211 Overtime <br />1-314 Fire Officers 1,300.00 1-211 Overtime <br />2-137 Other Supplies 1,000.00 1-211 Overtime <br /> <br /> <br />
