Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Heald <br /> to appoint Bill Roberson to fill the vacancy on the Mooresville Park and Recreation <br /> Board. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />fClerk-Treasurer ~ <br /> <br /> September 4, 1990 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held <br />Tuesday, September 4, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Jack <br />Forbes, Steve Ballard and Steve Edwards. No Council members were <br />absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Council- <br />woman Overholser to approve the Mooresville High School Homecoming <br />Parade on October 5, 1990. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> The following bids for janitorial service for the Mooresville <br />Town Hall were read: <br /> <br /> 1. DEKAB Maintenance $756.00 per month <br /> 2. McMahon Cleaining Service $185.00 per week <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Concilwoman Overholser, second by Council- <br />man Ballard to table awarding of the bid until the September 18, 1990 <br />Town Council meeting. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br />Forbes to approve Ordinance #14-1990 Kendrick Hospital rezone from <br />agriculture to B3. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens advised the Council that it has become <br />necessary for the Council to consider hiring a secretary for the Plan <br />Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals. He also noted the need <br />for additional space for the Plan Commission's documents. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br />CoUncilman Heald to approve the contract for HNTB Engineering <br />Services for the acquisition of the Hoosier Water Company. Motion <br />carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> EDC Director Randy Haymaker reported on the preliminary census <br />report. The preliminary census count is 5,522 however, there will be <br />additional people added due to the fact this is not a complete count. <br />Mr. Haymaker also noted that based on the data presented to the town <br />we will appeal the census. <br /> <br /> <br />
