Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to table the Housekeeping Bids until the next Town Council <br />meeting. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the Town <br />Council that the Bureau of Census has received the appeal on the <br />census and are processing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Haymaker pointed out that the possible rate increase by the <br />Water Company if approved will have a profound impact on the town <br />budget. ~ <br /> Mr. Haymaker advised that they are preparing for two events with <br />the Chamber of Commerce. Hoosier Hospitality Days will be held the first <br />week of October at the Convention Center and the Bike Race/Walkathon <br />on September 29, 1990 which they have 360 participants which the <br />majority are not from Mooresville. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br />Forbes to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br />Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br />Forbes and second by Councilwoman Overholser. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will <br />be held Tuesday, October 2, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at Mooresville Town <br />Hall. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~lerk-Treasurer~ <br /> <br /> October 2, 1990 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, <br />October 2, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Pat Overholser, Jack Forbes and Steve Edwards. <br />Council members absent were Steve Ballard and Dick Heald. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Forbes <br />to adopt ~solution #5-1990 a Special Resolution for the Town Mooresville <br />Approving and Authorizing the proposed Economic Development Bonds of Kendrick <br />Memorial. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilwoman Overholser <br />to table the janitorial bids until there is a full Council present. <br />Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Council President Steve Edwards advised the Council that traffic on S.R. 67 <br />at Caperton Development has become very heavy since the opening of the Burger King. <br />President Edwards asked Council attorney Tim Currens to contact the State Highway <br />Department in regard to doing a traffic study at that location for a stop light. <br /> <br /> Council President Edwards advised the Council that he is going to ask the <br />Police Department to video tape the traffic on West Carlisle Street at the Junior <br />High School during the drop off and pick up times in that area. The video tape <br />could be used to have a stop light installed at West Carlisle Street and S.R. 67. <br /> <br /> <br />
