Council Attorney opened and read the following bids for cleaning <br />and inspecting sewer lines: <br /> <br /> 1. Sanders Building and Contractors, Inc. <br /> <br /> Cleaning $31,348.80 <br /> Inspection 27~990.00 <br /> Total: $59,338.80 <br /> <br /> 2. Veiser Sewer Seal and Cleaner <br /> <br /> Cleaning $31,722.00 <br /> Inspection 31,722.00 <br /> Reports 1~556.00 <br /> Total: 65,000.00 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to table the bids for review. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Council President Edwards advised the council that a quote for <br />earthquake insurance had been obtained in the amount of $1,069.00. <br />The council decided not to act on this matter at this time. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker introduced Jim <br />Welch of Welch Lake Development to the Council. Mr. Welch appeared <br />before the council to inform the council that the Hendricks County <br />commissioners voted unanamously to ask the Town of Mooresville to <br />annex the Welch Lake Development. Mr. Haymaker advised the council of <br />the reasons it would be advantageous for the town to annex this <br />property. Council attorney Currens will research the annexation <br />of this property. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to accept the janitorial bid of DAKAB. Motion carried <br />3-1, Councilman Heald voted no. <br /> <br /> Council President Edwards appointed Councilman Heald and Council- <br />man Ballard to a committee to work with Brown Township Trustee Kay <br />Don Haught in regard to consolidating the Brown Township Fire Dept- <br />ment and the Town of Mooresville Fire Department. <br /> <br />The Council set the time for trick-or-treating in the Town of Moores- <br />ville for October 31, 1990 from 6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Park and Recreation Board will sponsor a <br />haunted hike at the Pioneer Park on October 31, 1990 from 7:00p.m.- <br />8:00p.m. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held <br /> Tuesday, November 6, 1990 at 7:30p.m. in the Mooresville Court due <br /> to Town Hall will be used as a polling place. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Council- <br />man Ballard to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unana- <br />mously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br /> Heald, second by Councilman Ballard.
