Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Council- <br /> woman Overholser to instruct Council attorney Tim Currens to <br /> write an Ordinance which will allow the town to enact a 457K <br /> plan. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br /> Councilman Heald to pay the monthly electric bill for a traffic <br /> signal at State Road 67 and Bridge Street after installation, <br /> contingent upon Bridge Street being completed to Landersdale Road <br /> and dedicated to the Town of Mooresville. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported he has had <br /> twenty-five (25) calls, eight (8) animals were impounded, three (3) <br /> animals returned to owners and one (1) dog bite. <br /> <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Tom Girdner, 310 Maple Lane, appeared before the <br /> Council to request a sidewalk on their corner property on Hadley <br /> Street. Council President Ballard advised the Girdner's to speak <br /> with Street Commissioner Joe Beikman and Councilwoman Overholser <br /> in regard to this matter. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br /> Viles to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br /> Viles, second by Councilwoman Overholser. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will <br /> be held Tuesday, May 19 1992 at 7:30 p.m at the Mooresville Town <br /> Hall. ' ' <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer ~ <br /> <br /> May 19, 1992 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held <br /> Tuesday, May 19, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Steve Edwards, Tim Viles, Pat <br /> Overholser, Dick Heald and Steve Ballard. No Council members were <br /> absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Marty Shostrand appeared before the Council to render a public <br /> apology for the vandalism to the cemetery which Mr. Shostrand <br /> confessed to having committed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Carl Waite, Mr. Paul Weishaar and Mr. Greg McMillan of HNTB <br />addressed the Council in regard to the proposed renovation of Town <br />Hall and the proposed construction of a new fire station. Each <br />member of the Council will discuss with HNTB their proposed needs <br />for space for each department which will help HNTB on the feasibility <br />study for this project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Waite informed the Council that the bids for the sewer re- <br />habilitation project came in considerably lower than had been <br />projected. The bid will be awarded at the joint Redevelopment <br />Commission and Redevelopment Authority meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 1992. <br /> <br /> <br />
