April 21, 1992 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held <br /> Tuesday, April 21, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Steve Edwards, Pat Overholser, <br /> Tim Viles, Dick Heald and Steve Ballard. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman <br /> Viles to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as submitted. <br /> MotiOn carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Rachael Ruona, 136 W. South Street, Mr. Gordon Gamble, <br /> 565 Arlington Drive, Mrs. Mark Barnett, 92 Brentwood Drive and <br /> Mrs. Martin Davis, 87 Brentwood Drive appeared before the Council <br /> in regard to sewer back ups in their basements. Claims for damage <br /> were submitted to the Council and will be turned over to the Town's <br /> insurance agent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br /> Overholser to approve the request of the V.F.W. to hang a banner <br /> across Indiana Street at Morgan Square promoting the July Fest. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jerry Miller of the United States Conference of Mayor's <br /> addressed the Council in regard to the Public Employees Deferred <br /> Compensation Program. The Council will further investigate this <br /> program. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman <br />Heald to approve on second reading of Ordinance #7-1992 An Ordinance <br />Specifying the Zoning of Certain Real Property Within the Planning <br />and Zoning Jurisdiction of the Civil Town of Mooresville. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles and second by Councilman <br />Edwards to approve on second reading of Ordinance #8-1992 An <br />Ordinance Amending Ordinance #18-1979 The Flood Damage Prevention ' ~ <br />Ordinance for the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana and Ordinance <br />#12-1982 An Amendment to Ordinance #18-1979. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve on second reading of Ordinance #9-1992 An <br />Ordinance Regulating Animals. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve Ordinance #10-1992 An Ordinance Rezoning <br />Certain Real Property Within the Planning and Zoning Jurisdiction <br />of the Civil Town of Mooresville. This ordinance rezoned Caperton <br />Development property from A1 to R-iD. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he has had nine (9) <br />calls, nine (9) Animals have been impounded, five (5) returned to <br />their owners. There was a report of one (1) dog bite. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve that HNTB conduct a feasibility study to determine <br />available options in regard to expanding the physical facilities of <br />the Mooresville Fire Department and Town Hall. This study will not <br />exceed $6,500.00. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles and second by Councilman i ! <br />Edwards to allow $7,500.00 for the clean-up of the damaged headstones <br />in the cemetary. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve the bills and claims. Motion carreid unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br />Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br />Viles, second by Councilman Edwards. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will <br />be held Tuesday, May 5, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> <br />
