208 <br /> <br /> Mr. John Kupke of HNTB appeared before the Council to have <br /> a consulting contract between HNTB and the Town of Mooresville <br /> executed. Mr. Kupke explained to the Council that this contract <br /> includes engineering services related to the evaluation of sewer <br /> availability and connection fee study and miscellaneous con- <br /> sultation. <br /> <br /> Councilman Tim Viles inquired of Mr. Kupke as to the <br /> availability of sewer capacity at the waste water treatment plant. <br /> Mr. Kupke informed the Council that HNTB will provide statistics <br /> to the Council showing the available capacity at the waste water <br /> treatment plant. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Ballard to approve the engineering consultation contract with <br /> HNTB. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard, second by Councilman <br /> Viles to approve an agreement with H. J. Umbaugh to provide <br /> financial consultation for EDIT Bonds for the Town of Mooresville. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he had twenty-five <br /> (25) calls, nine (9) animals impounded, one (1) returned to owner. <br /> <br /> Council President Overholser informed the Council that she <br /> would like to initiate a program which will request each department <br /> to submit a written report to the Council informing the Council <br /> of the progress of their department and outline the direction <br /> of the department. Council President Overholser will send a <br /> letter to all Department Heads in regard to this matter. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. ~ <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br /> Edwards, second by Councilman Viles. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Councilman Tim Viles inquired about the status of the building at <br /> 39 West Main Street. Council Attorney Tim Currens informed the Council that <br /> he has recently acquired an address for the building owner and will be <br /> sending legal notice to the owner in regard to a hearing on the status of <br /> the building. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Viles to <br /> grant a request from Crystal Flash to install additional wells to enable <br /> them to continue to clean up their gasoline leak.
