244 <br /> <br /> Council President Overholser polled the Council for <br /> approval to change the Town Council meetings from the first <br /> and third Tuesday of each month to the first and third Monday <br /> of each month. The Council was unanimously in favor of changing <br /> the Council meetings to the first and third Monday of each <br /> month. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Williams appeared before the Council on behalf of <br /> his brother Tim Williams, 1184 Westwood Drive in regard to a sewer <br /> back up which caused damage to the first floor of the home at <br /> 1184 Westwood Drive. Town attorney Tim Currens explained the town <br /> would submit the estimates of damage to the Town's insurance <br /> carrier. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilman <br /> Wright to approve the grave digger contract fo 1995. The cost <br /> of an adult grave opening will be $260.00; the cost of an infant <br /> grave will be $90.00. There will be an additional charge of $100.00 <br /> for a grave opening on Sunday's and holiday's. Motion carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> <br /> Police Chief Tim Viles discussed with the Council the numerous <br /> problems with the intersection at State Road 67 and Bridge Street. <br /> Chief Viles will communicate with the Indiana Department of <br /> Transportation to try to resolve this problem. <br /> <br /> Street Superintendent Joe Beikman advised the Council that he <br /> is planning the summer schedule for sidewalk replacement and asked <br /> the Council to advise him of sidewalks the Council would like <br /> to see replaced or installed. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker supplied statistics <br /> to the Council for population estimates for Mooresville School <br /> District, population growth in Morgan County from 1990 through <br /> 1994 and growth in workforce in Morgan County from 1989 to 1994. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor requested the Council <br /> permit Steve Ballard to assist on animal control calls at no <br /> expense to the Town. The Town would supply a beeper for Mr. Ballard. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilman <br /> Pygman to allow Steve Ballard to assist Animal Control Officer <br /> Mark Taylor on an emergency basis, and the town will supply <br /> Mr. Ballard with a beeper. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Taylor reported he received sixteen (16) <br /> calls, four (4) animals impounded and three (3) animals returned <br /> to their owners. <br /> <br /> Judge Paul Sterrett announced he will seek re-election to the <br /> position of Town Court Judge in 1995. <br /> <br /> Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman <br /> Wright, second by Councilman Pygman. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br /> Viles, second by Councilman Wright.
