Motion carded 3-2. Councilman Dolen and Councihnan PYlonan opposed. <br /> <br /> Jim Parks of HNTB spoke to the Council about improvements that are needed at the Waste Water <br /> Treatment Plant. The cost estimate of $149,000 was for four (4) listed items ell the sununary <br /> sheet. Motion was made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Wright to approve the <br /> improvements to the Waste Water Treatment Platat but not to exceed $149,000 for items listed in <br /> the WWTP improvement proposal. <br /> <br /> Mooresville Police Department announced a new patrolman, Greg Shue, would be given the Oath <br /> of Office on Wednesday, August 6, 1997, and would begin the position on Saturday, August 9, <br /> 1997. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported forty-seven (47) calls, fourteen (14) impounded, <br /> and six (6) retumed. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Wright to approve the payment <br /> of the claims with the exception of four that needed to be investigated further. Motion can'ied 5-0. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at tiffs time, motion was made by <br /> Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to adjourn the meeting.
