Councilman Hensley asked Jim Ransome, Park Board President, if they have begun work on <br /> spending the $150,000 awarded to the Park from the State thru Rep. Bob Behning Jim Ransome <br /> said they were thinking of starting in the Fall, that it takes time to get plans for pool <br /> improvements. They are going to stay in close touch with Rep. Behning. <br /> <br /> The Town Council agreed to liquefy the $42,000.00 CD and put the ~noney into the Cemetery <br /> Maintenance Fund for paving, roof repair, filling and compacting, and a sign. The money lell <br /> from these projects will go back into a CD. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty-six (26) calls, five (5) in, pounded, and Olio <br /> (1) returned. <br /> <br /> Fire Chief Les Farmer reported they had received their new pickup truck and it would go for <br /> striping within the next week. <br /> <br /> Court Judge Paul Sterrett announced the second driving school had been held with an attendance <br /> of eighteen students. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve paymel~t of <br /> the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Hensley to adjourn the meeting. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Monday, May 4, 1998, <br /> instead of Tuesday, May 5, 1998 because Tuesday is Election Day. The meeting will be at 7:30 <br /> P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: ~ <br /> <br /> Sandra R. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer U <br /> <br /> May 4, 1998 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Monday, instead of Tuesday because <br />of Election Day, May 4, 1998, at 7:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, Bill Wright, Jim l lensley, <br />and Andy Pygrnan. No members were absent. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councihnan Dolen to approve the ininutes <br />of the April 21, 1998 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
