Motion carried 5- <br /> 0. <br /> <br /> Dean Mayfield presented his quote for Disability Insurance with the United Wisconsin Group. <br /> This would replace the Standard Insurance Company presently serving the Town employees. <br /> Plan Option #1 was keeping the policy exactly the same and lowering the cost from 58 cents to <br /> 53 cents. Option #2 was to upgrade policy by adding a 0 day residual and a $5,000 ~naximum <br /> benefit and the cost staying the same as current plan ( 58 cents). Motion was made by <br /> Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve Plan Option//2 with upgrade and <br /> a two year rate guarantee. Motion carded 5-0. Plan begins December 15, 1998. <br /> <br /> Ross Holloway of Holloway and Assoc. presented a rezone of Charics O'Neal Lot 2 of Minor <br /> Plat from R-1 to B-1. Motion was made by Councilman Dolcn, second by Councilman l lensley <br /> to approve rezone to a B-1 (Ordinance #22, 1998.) Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Legal: Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the <br /> rezone of Merriman Property, Highway 67 S. from A-I to 1-2, Ordinance # 23, 1998. Motion <br /> carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Wright to approve rezone ol~ <br /> Krivoshia - Butler property from B-3 to PUD-I, Ordinance # 24, 1998. Motion carried <br /> <br /> The Council signed the consent to annexation form for Keith and Mary Hall on Landcrsdale <br /> Road. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve the Deed of <br /> Dedication of streets and right of ways subject to a maintenance bond to the Town for Pioneer <br /> Country Estates. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Wright, second by Councilman Hensley to approve a Capital <br /> Improvement Plan for Edit monies to spend $50,000 for interest reimbursement on nexv <br /> construction and new equipment financed under an extended loan incurred by Viking Air Tools, <br /> Inc and Jack K. Elrod Co., Inc. ( Resolution #8, 1998). Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Wright to approve a Contract <br /> stating that if Viking Power Tools or Jack K. Elrod Co. relocated within ten years they had to <br /> pay the $50,000 back to the Town of Mooresville. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Randy Haymaker from Hoosier Energy spoke of a need to attract non-residential development. <br /> He offered to go to the U. S. Dept. of Commerce to seek a 0 interest loan for ten years. The <br /> maximum to be borrowed up to $750,000. EDC Director Gutzwiller said the project would cost <br /> approximately $400,000 to $425,000 not including purchase of the land. He suggested Food & <br /> Beverage Tax be used to fund the project. President Mathis suggested waiting until December <br /> meetings and see what United and Hill water companies would do. <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported forty-seven (47) calls, sixteen (16) impounds, and <br /> four (4) returns. <br /> <br /> <br />
