~. ~~ <br />Jae Mills from the Historic Preservation Society commented they had followed for some <br />time the fate of this building (Qld Methodist Church) and were very pleased when the <br />Town decided to use the church for their Government Center. In an April meeting of the <br />Historic Preservation Society, they decided to present a plaque to the Town for <br />preserving the building. The Town Council received the plaque with much applause: <br />Legal: A motion was made by Councilman Harris with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />approve Resolution 7, 2007 to charge $8.U0 for accident reports. The new statute goes <br />into effect on July 1, 2007. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Attorney Currens had the contract for purchase and lease of a new fire truck. He told the <br />council some numbers had to be ironed out in the contract. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve the lease schedule. <br />Motion carried 5-0. A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by <br />Councilman Shields to approve purchase of the fire truck. Motion carried S-0. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to approve the <br />vehicle schedule addendum Resolution #S, 2007. Motion carried 5-0. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve Council <br />President Worthen as a signatory. Motion carried 5-0. <br />No animal control report. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to <br />approve payment of claims. Motion carried S-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time a motion <br />was made by Councilman. Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the <br />meeting. Toby Dolen was absent. Attorxaey Tim Currens was present. <br />Jeff Newton, Free Methodist Church gave the prayer. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Clark to approve <br />the minutes of the last meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />This meeting was a Public Hearing for Cougar Bag Confirmatory Resolution far athree- <br />year tax abatemexit on Equipment that would increase their sales and add S to 7 jobs. <br />Motion was made by Councilman. Clark with a second. by Councilman Shields to approve <br />Resolution 9, 2007. Motion carried 4-0. <br />David Stegman, Roberson Woods, requested a block party September S, 2007 at noon in <br />an area what id not a thru street. A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a <br />second by Councilman Harris to approve the request. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
