<br />September 28a'. The Agreement allows the County to be the lead, which means the money will <br />be distributed to them and they will redistribute it to the other entities involved. The letter of <br />intent and grant application needed to be in by Friday, October 5`~. Tim Currens also asked the <br />Council to approve the grant application, as far as what the Town is requesting to use the monies <br />for, which by priority is our Comprehensive Plan, first to the areas outside the Town limits, then <br />the areas inside the Town limits, followed by a well head protection program and drainage <br />issues. They have talked to the firm SDG about handling the grant application. The Town's part <br />of their fees could total up to $2,500.00. <br />A oration to approve the Interlocal Agreement with Morgan County and Martinsville to move <br />ahead with the 1-G9 Planning Grant was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman <br />Dolen. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen, to enter into the <br />contract with SDG to prepare the grant application. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A anotion was made by Councilman Dolen and second by Councilman Clark to proceed with the <br />letter of intent, outlining the plan for expenditures as listed by Attorney, Tim Currens. lvlotian <br />carried. 3-0. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor reported seventeen (17) calls, five (5) impounds and three <br />(3) returns. <br />A motion far the approval. of claims was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman <br />Dolen. Motion carried 3-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion to adjourn the <br />meeting was made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark. Motion carried 3- <br />0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville 'T'own Council will beheld on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, <br />begiiming at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Tom Wart en, Council. Clark, Taby Do1en, Mark Harris and Eric Shields. <br />Council president, Tam Worthen and Attorney, Tim Currens were absent. <br />Jerry ThoYnas, of Springhill Christian Center gave the opening prayer. <br />A motion for the approval of the minutes of the October 2, 2007 meeting was made by <br />Councilman Dolen, second by Councilrxaan Harris. Motion carried 4-0. <br />
