<br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Dolen to transfer $160,OOOAO from <br />Wastewater Plant Operating to Plant Improvement. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve a Certification of <br />Designation of Depositaries. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to approve a contract with Banning <br />Engineering to do work at Sundown Manor. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Dolen to approve Resolution 16, 2007, <br />a five year abatement on equipment for LinEl Signature. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The council read a letter from Lilco, Inc. askiiag for an adjustit on wastewater bill for a leak at 120 %Z South Clay <br />Street. A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Dolen to deny the request: <br />Les Farmer, Fire Chief, reported the plans for the Aire station were close to completion for bid. He will get rough <br />numbers for a construction manager. Motion carried 5-0. -- <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-two (22j calls, nine (9) impounds, and six (6) returns. <br />H <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by°~ciFtrian Dolen to approve payment of the <br />claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time a motion was_r~ade by Councilman <br />Dolen with a second by Councilman Shields to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The next meeting date of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Thursday, December 6, 2007, 9:00 A.M. in the <br />Mooresville High School Auditorium. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer ~ <br />Dec. 6, 2007 <br />The Mooresville Town Council held their meeting at Mooresville High School on Thursday, December 6, <br />2007, at 9:00 A. M. Ms. Gilly's Senior Government Class attended the session. <br />Town council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Mark Harris, John L. Clark, and Eric Shields. <br />Toby Dolen was absent. Attorney Currens also attended. <br />Council President Warthen opened the meeting with an explanation of the process of a Town Council meeting. <br />He told the students the importance of local government and how local government was more accessible than <br />any other form of government. The meeting at the school was Councilman Eric Shield's idea. He felt it was <br />important for the community to know how local government worked. <br />Council President Warthen introduced the council members and the Clerk-Treasurer and gave their years of <br />working far the Town. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to approve the minutes of <br />November 20, 2007. Motion carried 4-0. <br />The Public Hearing for LinEl tax abatement was advertised for December 4; 2007, so it has been re-advertised <br />for December 18~' meeting. <br />
