~~~ <br />The council should have a contract with Urnbaugh to discuss for reviewing sewer rates at <br />the next meeting. The cost for this re-evaluation is approximately $1 S to $17,000. <br />John Taylor, Morgan County Economic Development, reported to the council the making <br />of a three panel brochure. He wants to have a photographer take pictures, but needs <br />recommendations on what the pictures should. be. The barn on Highway 42 that is on the <br />Town Website was mentioned. John would like the brochures completed for a <br />conference in Indianapolis the second week of September. The brochures will be in <br />English and Japanese. The October trip to Japan he is going after Honda and its <br />suppliers. <br />A developer availability agreement with A & A Transmission will be at the next meeting. <br />Attorney Currens handed a list of riotes/issues to the cauncil far personnel policy. <br />Council President Worthen told the other members he had looked over the information <br />from other Towns and would like to make a couple more calls, so this was tabled to the . <br />next. meeting. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve payment of claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br />Mohan carried 5-0. <br />~ om W en, Council President <br />ATTES <br />~ . .. <br />Sandra R. Perry, Clerk-Treas er <br />August 15, 2006 <br />The Mooresville Town Cauncil met in regular session on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at <br />6:30 F. M. at the new Government Center. <br />Town Council members present: President Tom Worthen, Troy Bryant, Toby Dolen, <br />and Eric Shields. Bohn L. Clark was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br />A motion'was made by Councihnan Dolen with a second by Councilman Shields to <br />approve minutes of August 1, 2006 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />The meeting began with Council President Tom Worthen speaking to the audience <br />concerning the curb and sidewalk project on East Harrison Street. He apologized for not <br />being in communication with the residents and told them he would go door to door next <br />time if need be to talk to residents about the projects and before removing trees. He said <br />some of the trees were causing damage to the street and to curbs. Five trees have been <br />removed so far on East and West Harrison Streets. Redevelopment Commission is <br />paying for East Harrison Street and Tawn is paying for West Harrison Street. The <br />council plans to do a street a year. Councilman Bryant told the audience the project is to <br />install curbs, sidewalks, and improve stormwater. Trees would be replaced one by one. <br />Tom Redman, a resident on West Harrison Street told the cauncil it was disturbing. to <br />have trees removed without first notifying. Cauncil President Worthen stated he hoped <br />the projects will be kept up in the future as the councils change members. The projects <br />are funded with L R & S, TIF, and local property tax. East and West Streets will be <br />.completed first, then North and South Streets. High Street and Main Street are Highways <br />and cannot be included in the plan. Steve Edwards, West Harrison Street, complained <br />about the use of a 24 inch bucket on his end and a 12 inch up by the church on East <br />Harrison Street. He believes a lot of property values have decreased because of the trees <br />1 <br />
