A motion was made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />approve Declaratory Resolution # 12, 2005, far athree-year tax abatement on equipment <br />for Prodigy Group. The equipment will cost $225,800 and is newer technology. This <br />will add one job and probably by the end of the year they will hire six more people. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />A motion was made by Cauncihxzan Clark with a second by Cauncilznan Dolen to <br />approve a settlement concerning wastewater hook-on refund of $800. Motion carried 4-0 <br />Attorney Currens explained the PacMoore Company was putting in sewer as part of their <br />project and Joe Beikman, Street Superintendent, had thought the Town might want to get <br />involved and extend the sewer to the Louis David subdivision in case at some time those <br />residents would request to hook-on. We would get a recorded easement if we were going <br />to maintain it. hood and Beverage tax money could fund this extension. Attorney <br />Cuz-rens said we needed to look at who is going to do the work and get cost far extension <br />and the details would have to be worked out with them. Council agreed. At PacMoore's <br />cost they are installing a 10 inch water line, Joe Beikman, wants to upgrade to a 12 inch <br />line and add some valves, and then if there is additional development, the line would <br />already be there. It would be a public line and within our right of way. If this can't be <br />done at a reasonable rate, $2500 or thereabout, then it would be brought back to the <br />council. Councilman Clark made a motion seconded by Councilman Shields to have Joe <br />Beikman and Tim Currens proceed with this issue. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Fire Departrrzent- Fire Chief Les Farmer informed the council the fire house was getting a <br />second roof in a year. Due to quality and repair issues the company agreed to replace the <br />- roof <br />President Worthen announced that writtezz warnings associated with Storm water Rule 13 <br />were being issued. These are to discourage blowing of grass out in the streets. The <br />warnings are written to help the Town with Rule 13 compliance. The grass has to be <br />blown back up into the planting strip. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-two (22) calls, fzve (5) impounds, <br />and two (2) returns. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br />The council directed Joe Beikman to put a sign, Slow Down, Children Playing at both <br />ends of Red Oak Way. <br />There being no other business to come before the council at this time a motion was made <br />by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on <br />Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at fi:30 P.
