Attorney Currens stated the <br />people in Boyd Heights requested this project, not the Town of 1Vlooresville. He also <br />stated that septic systems were being more scrutinised. Councilman Bryant said we <br />needed signed agreements to annexation now to know if this project is feasible. <br />Councilman Shields suggested a framework be developed for this kind of large <br />annexation to complete anti to document communications as a check off of items to be <br />completed. Council President Torn Worthen agreed. <br />Bids for the project were opened and were as follows: <br />Perry Excavatang. inc. Phase 1 $ 59,869.21 <br />Phase 2 40,130.04 <br />Swinney Bras. Excavating Phase 1 91,521.00 <br />ph~e 2 .. 61,543.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields with a second by Councilman Clark to take <br />the bids under advisement and have in the Clerk-Treasurer's office for inspection until <br />the next meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />On Saturday, May l 5, 2004, the Downtown Merchants and Town of Mooresville will <br />have a Spring Clean Up Day. Rays Trash will have a huge dumpster located at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall parking lot for free dumping of trash. NuGenesis will bring a <br />truck up to the Town Hall parking lot for people to dump appliances free unless there is <br />Freon and then there will be a reduced fee of $15.00 instead of the normal fee of $25.00• <br />Councilman Bryant reported to the council he had a diagram for placement of the cut <br />down trash containers. The street department had cut the containers down and will place <br />them, before May 15, 2004 so the planting of flowers in the containers can be done on that <br />day. <br />Joe Beikman, Street Department Superintendent, obtained three quotes on a smaller vac <br />unit for storm sewers for Rule 13. The quotes were as follows: <br />Deeds Equipment $41, 079.00 includes 2 engines and was not <br />Quoted to specifications <br />Geiger Trenchless 43,500.00 <br />Best Equipment 43,925.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Bryant to accept <br />the quote from Geiger Trenchless for $43,500 to be paid from an approved additional <br />appropriation from the Local Road and Street Fund. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Next, the bid for windows at the Methodist Church was opened. Only one bid was <br />received. This was from. Spahn Associates. They make the windows plus do <br />installations. The bid was for $92,000. A motion was made by Councilman Shields with <br />a second by Councilman Clark to take this bid under advisement and make available for <br />inspection in the Clerk's office until the next meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />No heating and air bids were received so this goes on the open market. <br />The final draft for Storm Water fees will be at the May 18, 2004 meeting along with the <br />Ordinance and manual. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second from Councilman Bryant to <br />approve a Transfer of Funds, Resolution #5, 2004. (See attached).
