5~4 <br />Councilman Worthen told the council he was satisf ed with the measurements in the <br />parking ordinance, but he wanted legal counsel to be present before making a motion to <br />approve. <br />Animal Control gfficer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-one (21) calls, eight (8) impounds, <br />and seven (7) returned. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Worthen, second by Councilman Clark to approve <br />payment of the claims. Motion carved S-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Bryant to adjourn the meeting. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br />June 3, 2003 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at 6:30 <br />P.1Vl. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Council members present were: President Toby Dolen, Troy Bryant, John L. Clark, Tom <br />Worthen, and Mark Mathis. No members were absent. <br />Councilman Mathis gave the prayer. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Worthen to approve <br />the minutes of the May 20, 2003 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Crary Fields appeared before the council to request sewer hank-an next to 4840 Marcia <br />Drive, in the Ray Young addition, Phase 2. Mr. Fields wants to build a home on the lot <br />and not put in a septic. Mike Young, representing Ray Young, told the council there <br />were 35 lots and several of the septic systems were not adequate and probably a lift <br />station. would be needed. Mr. Fields said there were 18 residents in Phase #2. Mike <br />Young said he thought the whole addition should be considered. As a representative of <br />the Plan Commission, Mr. Young said the commission did not want any more septic <br />systems. The council told Mr. Young the addition would have to be annexed into Town <br />before the sewer could be extended into the addition. Mr. Young said there might be one <br />property that would be between Karri.ngton Estates and the addition. He did not think <br />they would have a problem getting contiguity. Councilman Worthen said he would rather <br />have the sanitary lines run thru the addition, so there would be a shorter distance between <br />the home and the stub. Councilman Mathis will get the names and addresses of the <br />residents and send out annexation papers. <br />Next, was a request for the cost of hook-on to the sewer from Jones & Family Mortuary. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to recommend <br />$900A0 as the fee for hook-on, this is not approval. to hook-on, and if approved. <br />annexation would have to come first. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
