916 <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council is Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 6:30 P. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br /> June 1.6, 2009 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 6:30 P. M. <br /> at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Council members present were: President Mark Harris, Vice-President Jeff Cook, Ryan <br /> Goodwin, and Tony Langley. John L. Clark was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was <br /> present. <br /> Mary Ann Hawkins from St. Thomas More Church gave the Invocation. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Cook with a second by Councilman Langley to approve the <br /> minutes of June 2, 2009. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Jason Flagg, Troy Risk, Inc. appeared before the council to request hook on to the sanitary <br /> system to treat the ground waste beneath the Indiana Machine Works site and discharge it into <br /> the sanitary system. Attorney Tim Currens said that traditionally the Town enters in a special <br /> agreement to discharge in to the sanitary system. He has a draft prepared that shows what the <br /> rate will be. Jason said they would do testing in August 2009 and the clean up process would be <br /> done around this time next year. A motion was made by Councilman Goodwin with a second by <br /> Councilman Langley to table to July 7, 2009 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Next,Jeff Pipkin, Morgan County EDC, appeared before the council with CF-1's from those <br /> who have tax abatements. They have to file a CF-1 each year of the abatement. He presented <br /> the following: Ambassador Steel, Alternative Machining, TOA, Cougar Bag, NicePak, Carter <br /> Lee Building Components, Overton and Sony;and Capital Adhesives. Jeff told the council most <br /> were in compliance. Alternative Machining did have to sell some of their equipment to ride out <br /> the economic times. The same with TOA,'they had to cut back on employees, but Subaru has <br /> two new models and hopefully will be hiring again. Carter Lee personal property was less than <br /> the estimated cost on the S13-1, but assets were sold in 2005 to LaGona Corp at depreciated <br /> costs. Jeff will have Pac More and General. Shale CF-1's at the next meeting. A motion was <br /> made by Councilman Goodwin with a second by Councilman Langley to approve the CF-1's as <br /> presented. Motion carried 4-0. Jeff also went on to inform the council he had a meeting with Jill <br /> Sagasser, Riverhills Development, representing an Economic Development District in Southern <br /> Indiana, concerning EDA monies for disaster. They are working with Martinsville and flood <br /> issues. Mooresville is eligible for some of the funds. They want two projects and one is the <br /> Wetzel Trace Business Park and Jeff is pushing for Phase IV of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br /> The first shovel ready site on the 50 acre parcel in Adams PUD near TOA will be done by July <br /> deadline and the award will be given in August. <br /> Chris Gale, HNTB will be at the July 7, 2009 meeting. <br /> Joe Beikman, Street Department, had a quote for state mandated reflectivity of signs. The quote <br /> was for meter and software. If they purchase from this company the software cost $3,000 will'be <br /> thrown in. Mr. Beikman thinks $11,000 is the most economic way. Councilman.Harris and <br /> Clerk-Treasurer Perry will discuss funding before the next meeting. A motion was made by <br /> Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Goodwin to approve finding funding and <br /> table this.to the next meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />
