'9 <br /> This was a Public Hearing for a confirmatory resolution for Probuild/Carter Lee Co. <br /> They are adding equipment in the amount of$500,000 and doing $2,264,000 in <br /> improvement to their building. Paving in all areas is to be completed. Twenty <br /> employees will be retained and forty added. They qualify for a ten year abatement on <br /> each. A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley <br /> to approve Confirmatory resolution#9, 2010. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to <br /> approve Resolution#11, 2010 additional appropriation from the General Fund back into <br /> Police Department line item#1 01001372 (vehicle lease) from the sale of police cars at <br /> public auction in the amount of$35, 625.00. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Ryan Goodwin, Town Council President, made an executive appointment of Tim Corman <br /> to the Mooresville Redevelopment Commission replacing Jim Ransome. <br /> Attorney Currens had documents for approval for construction agreement, construction <br /> performance bond and a payment bond, certificate of insurance, and notice to proceed. <br /> His request was to approve subject to approval from OCRA grant and State Revolving <br /> Fund Loan. A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman <br /> Clark to approve the documents. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Tim Medsker, Fire Chief,reported fifty-three (53)responses in the last 14 days. He also <br /> reported on the poor condition of the extrication equipment. Councilman Langley asked <br /> if it was operational. Chief Medsker said yes, it is. Councilman Cook said the clamps <br /> wouldn't open and took close to five minutes to get it to work. The council gave Chief <br /> Medsker authorization to look at bids. Chief Medsker said he thought they would be <br /> around$46,000 approximately. The bids are due Sept. 7th meeting. <br /> Joe Beik man announced the paving bids would be in the paper on Wednesday, August <br /> 18th. Council President Ryan Goodwin and Clerk-Treasurer Sandra Perry told the council <br /> the paving costs needed to be cut back to $150,000 to $200,000. The council wants Joe <br /> Beilcman to prioritize and stick to $150,000. A motion was made by Councilman Langley <br /> with a second by Councilman Clark to have Joe prioritize and stick to $150,000. Motion <br /> carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Clark to <br /> release the letter of credit for Meadowlake in the amount of$59,828.00. Motion carried <br /> 4-0. Joe Beikman will send the letter. <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-four(24) calls, eight (8) <br /> impounds, and three (3)returned. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to <br /> approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the <br /> meeting.
