M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Town Council members present were: Vice-President Tony Langley, John L. Clark, <br /> Mark Harris, and Jeff Cook. Council President Ryan Goodwin was absent. Town <br /> attorney Tim Currens was present. Clerk-Treasurer Sandy Perry was present. <br /> Randy Weddle, Community Church of Mooresville, gave the invocation. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to approve <br /> minutes from the October 5, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to approve <br /> Universal Valuations updating.the appraisals on the Town buildings. The cost is $585.00 <br /> this year and a copy of report will be sent to the insurance company. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Legal: Attorney Currens presented the first reading of Ordinance#14, 2010 for the <br /> addition of an inspection fee on vehicle identification numbers for the police department. <br /> The fee will be deposited into the Mooresville Police Continuing Education fund by <br /> statute. This item will be on the agenda for November 2, 2010. <br /> Councilman Harris reported work had begun at the wastewater treatment plant and <br /> Councilman Langley will talk with Dan Tingle, Wastewater Superintendent so he can <br /> have a report for the next meeting. <br /> Mark Taylor, Animal Control Officer, reported nineteen(19) calls, six(6)impounds, and <br /> three (3)returns. <br /> Morgan County Economic Development nt Director reported the Carter-Lee Pro Build <br /> expansion was going well. She also reported the Economic Development office had <br /> obtained a job training grant for fifty five employees for Nice-Pak in the amount of <br /> $199,617.50. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to approve <br /> payment of the claims.
