A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Clark with a <br /> second by Councilman Langley to approve Payment Request#1 to Wilhehn Construction <br /> in the amount of$529,465.90. This is for the wastewater expansion. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Legal: <br /> Attorney Tim Curren stated three items that needed to be worked on before year end: <br /> 1. Public Nuisance ordinance that address all kinds of public issues. <br /> 2. Personnel Policy <br /> 3. Identity Theft Ordinance <br /> Councilman Harris asked when codification of Ordinances should be done. Some steps <br /> have already been taken by putting ordinances together under one ordinance. <br /> Darrell Brown, Fire Inspector,reported 40 calls this month with 21 of them being <br /> medical. <br /> Joe Beikman, Street Superintendent,reported he had talked to Swinney Excavating and <br /> they will have figures shortly on the sewer line for G. R. Wood. This line is to be paid <br /> for from Food and Beverage. <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported seventeen(17) calls, six (6)impounds, <br /> and one (1)return. <br /> Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley motioned to approve payment <br /> of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the <br /> meeting. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Town Council members present were: President Ryan Goodwin, Tony Langley,Mark <br /> Harris, and Jeff Cook. John L. Clark was absent. Town attorney Tim Curren was <br /> present. Clerk-Treasurer Sandra Perry was present. <br /> Jeff Duke,First Baptist Church, gave the invocation. <br /> i <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Cook to <br /> approve the November 16th meeting minutes. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Peggy Mayfield,Morgan County Clerk, spoke before the council about streamlining <br /> municipal elections. In other words,moving the municipal elections to the General <br /> elections so the Towns would not have to pay for an election. This would also make a <br /> difference in the years in a term. If the Town does not do this the cost would be a lot <br /> more if the other Towns in the county decided to change. Mrs. Mayfield is going to <br /> gather more information and the council will discuss again on December 21,2010. <br />
