Resolution #1-1988 adopting a written Fiscal Plan establishing policy <br />for the provision of service to an annexed area was read to the board by <br />attorney Currens. Trustee Heald made a motion to adopt Resolution #1-1988. <br />Trustee Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Board attorney Currens read ordinance #8-1988 Special ordinance Annexing <br />Continuous Territory to the Civil Town of Mooresville. Motion was made by <br />Trustee Overholser to adopt Ordinance #8-1988. Second by Trustee Edwards. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Tim Currens, board attorney presented to the board a purchase agreement <br />for the property at 18 West Harrison Street. The agreement contained a ten <br />year lease for the seller to continue using the garage and parking area located <br />on the property. The purchase price of the property to be $35,833.00. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald to present the proposed purchase agreement <br />to the owner of the property at 18 West Harrison St. Trustee Overholser second. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Cemetery Sexton Ed Bucker advised the board that the two lowest bids on <br /> mowing the town cemetery were withdrawn. Mr. Bucker recommended awarding the <br /> bid to Greenscape, Inc. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald to award the cemetery mowing contract for <br /> 1988 to Greenscape, Inc. Trustee Edwards second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Trustee Heald moved to grant sewer usage exemptions for filling swimming <br /> pools to Dallas Walls, John Gurndon and Donald Perry. Trustee Overholser <br /> second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Town Clerk-Treasurer Ann Whaley advised the board that Aetna Insurance <br /> Company, the town's health and accident insurance carrier would increase the <br /> premiums by 26% at the time of renewal. After much discussion the board <br /> decided to investigate other insurance possibilities. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to allow the V.F.W. to hold a roadblock <br /> on Saturday, May 28, 1988 for Poppy Days. Trustee Heald second. Motion carried. <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald to approve the bills and claims. Trustee <br /> Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Board of Trustee3 <br /> at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Overholser.
