The board discussed the feasibility of the temporary stop sign located at <br />North Indiana St. and Washington Street. It was the decission of the board <br />to leave %he sign in place for further observation. <br /> <br /> Motion was made to approve the bills and claims by Trustee Edwards. Trustee <br />Overholser second. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Board of <br />Trustees at this time Trustee Heald moved to adjourn. Trustee Edwards second. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Board of Trustees will be Tuesday, <br />September 20, 1988. <br /> <br /> /~r'e~ident <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br /> lerk-Troasurer <br /> <br /> September 20, 1988 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the ~ooresville Town Board of Trustees was held <br />Tuesday, September 20, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Members present were Trustee Heald, Overholser, Edwards and Forbes. <br />Trustee Fiscus was absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to approve the minutes of the September <br />6, 1988 meeting as submitted. Trustee Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Board President Forbes welcomed members of the Mooresville Freshman <br />Government class which were observing the board meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Bryant, President of Mooresville Downtown Revitalization submitted <br />to the board the Master Plan for revitalizing downtown. The plan will be on <br />display in Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Mr. Howard Euhls andMrs. BettyMansfield appearedbefore the board to <br />protest the 4-Way stop at North Indiana St. and Washington St. Mrs. Jane <br />Akers appeared before the board in favor of said stop. <br /> <br /> Trustee Heald advised the board that several school bus drivers had <br />contacted him with negative comments in regard to the 4-Way stop. <br /> <br /> Street Superintendent Joe Beikman advised the board that a 4-Way blinking <br />red light at this location would cost the town $6,000.00 on wooden poles <br />or $12,000 on metal poles. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to delete the expiration date of <br />9-29-1988 in ordinance #13-1988 and insert the expiration date of 1-15-1989 <br />in ordinance #13-1988 in regard to the trail period for the stop sign at <br />North Indiana St. and Washington St. Trustee Overholser second. Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee Overholser to <br />allow the Mooresville High School Student Council to hold their annual <br />Homecoming Parade Friday, October 7, 1988 at 5:30 p.m. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald to approve an ordinance vacating the <br />alley east of the old library building and west of the Mooresville Savings <br />Bank.
