The board discussed the feasibility of the temporary stop sign located at North Indiana St. and Washington Street. It was the decission of the board to leave %he sign in place for further observation. Motion was made to approve the bills and claims by Trustee Edwards. Trustee Overholser second. There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Board of Trustees at this time Trustee Heald moved to adjourn. Trustee Edwards second. Motion carried. The next meeting of the Mooresville Board of Trustees will be Tuesday, September 20, 1988. /~r'e~ident ATTEST lerk-Troasurer September 20, 1988 The regular meeting of the ~ooresville Town Board of Trustees was held Tuesday, September 20, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Members present were Trustee Heald, Overholser, Edwards and Forbes. Trustee Fiscus was absent. Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to approve the minutes of the September 6, 1988 meeting as submitted. Trustee Overholser second. Motion carried. Board President Forbes welcomed members of the Mooresville Freshman Government class which were observing the board meeting. Mr. Paul Bryant, President of Mooresville Downtown Revitalization submitted to the board the Master Plan for revitalizing downtown. The plan will be on display in Town Hall. Mr. Howard Euhls andMrs. BettyMansfield appearedbefore the board to protest the 4-Way stop at North Indiana St. and Washington St. Mrs. Jane Akers appeared before the board in favor of said stop. Trustee Heald advised the board that several school bus drivers had contacted him with negative comments in regard to the 4-Way stop. Street Superintendent Joe Beikman advised the board that a 4-Way blinking red light at this location would cost the town $6,000.00 on wooden poles or $12,000 on metal poles. Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to delete the expiration date of 9-29-1988 in ordinance #13-1988 and insert the expiration date of 1-15-1989 in ordinance #13-1988 in regard to the trail period for the stop sign at North Indiana St. and Washington St. Trustee Overholser second. Motion Carried. Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee Overholser to allow the Mooresville High School Student Council to hold their annual Homecoming Parade Friday, October 7, 1988 at 5:30 p.m. Motion carried. Motion was made by Trustee Heald to approve an ordinance vacating the alley east of the old library building and west of the Mooresville Savings Bank. Trustee Edwards second. Motion carried.
