October 4, 1988 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Board of Trustees was held Tuesday, <br />October 4, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Members present were Trustees Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, and Steve Edwards. <br />Trustees absent were Mike Fiscus and Jack Forbes. <br /> <br /> Trustee Heald acted a Board President in the absence of Board Presi~nt <br />Jack Forbes and Board Vice President Mike Fiscus. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Overholser and second by Trustee Edwards to <br />approve the following transfer of funds: <br /> <br />Transfer From: Amount: Transfer To: <br />EDC Director 1-119 $1,500.00 EDC Contractual Labor 3-962 <br />GTC 2-161 Official Records 900.00 GTC Ret/Soc. Sec. 1-262 <br />GTC 2-161 Official Records 300.00 GTC Travel 3-214 <br />GTC 2-161 Official Records 500.00 GTC Extra Help 1-114 <br /> <br /> Mooresville Families in Action asked the board to proclaim the week of <br />October 23, 1988 - October 30, 1988 Red Ribbon Week. Motion was made by Trustee <br />Overholser and second by Trustee Edwards to Proclaim the week of October 23, 1988- <br />October 30, 1988 Red Ribbon Week. Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> Police officer Mike Smith, at the request of Trustee Steve Edwards, presented <br />pictures of the property at 39½ West Main Street showing an excessive amount of <br />junk stored on the property. <br /> <br /> Board attorney Tim Currens, in co-operation with Officer Smith, will <br />observe this property during the next few weeks to see if the owner of said <br />property is in violation of any town ordinance. <br /> <br /> Trustee Overholser recomnended that all municipal employees park in the <br />new parking area located west of the fire station on West Harrison St. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker received the approval of the <br />board to advise the State Highway Co~mission that the Town of Mooresville is <br />willing to accept responsibility for that part of State Road 267 which lies <br />within our corporate limits. Mr. Haymaker was also granted approval to apply <br />to the State Department of Comnerce to become a Main Street Community. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Overholser to approve the bills and claims. <br />Trustee Edwards second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Town Board of Trustees <br />at this time motion was made by Trustee Edwards to adjourn. Trustee Overholser <br />second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of Trustees will be held <br />October 18, 1988 at 7: 30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
