October 18, 1988 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of Trustees was held <br /> Tuesday, October 18, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Present were Trustees Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards, Mike Fiscus and <br /> Jack Forbes. Trustee Richard Heald was absent. <br /> <br /> Representatives from the Good Shepherd Baptist Church were present to <br /> request a roadblock. Proof of insurance was submitted to the board. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to grant a roadblock to the Good <br /> Shepherd Baptist Church on April 15, 1989. Trustee Overholser second. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The Board signed a Proclamation designating the week of October 23, 1988 <br /> "Red Ribbon Week" to promote drug awareness in the co~ty. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Overholser to allow Indiana Bell to go under <br /> Carlisle Street to run additional telephone lines to the school. Trustee <br /> Edwards second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The board signed Ordinance #15-1988 extending the trial period for the <br /> 4-Way stop at North Indiana Street and Washington Street to January 15, 1989. <br /> <br /> The board discussed a five year plan for the street department. The <br />board decided to look into the possibility of installing sidewalks on <br />Indianapolis Road. The possibility of saving Local Road and Street Punds <br />from year to year was discussed. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the board that the <br />Hendricks County Commissioners are in agreement to extend State Road 267. <br /> <br /> Fire Chief Jim Bruner submitted a proposal to buy property on State Road <br />144 for the purpose of building an additional fire station. Preliminary plans <br />for the fire station were submitted to the board. Chief Bruner advised the <br />board an initial cost of this project would be between $425,000.00 and <br />$500,000.00. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to approve the bills and claims. <br />Trustee Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The board was advised that Trick or Treat hours will be October 31, 1988 <br />from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards to approve the minutes of the previous <br />meeting. Trustee Overholser second. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Board <br />of Trustees at this time Trustee Fiscus made a motion to adjourn. Trustee <br />Edwards second.
