November 1, 1988 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Board of Trustees was held Tuesday, <br />November 1, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Trustees present were Richard Heald, Steve Edwards, Pat Overholser and Mike <br />Fiscus. Trustee Jack Forbes was absent. Trustee Mike Fiscus was acting Board <br />President in the absence of Board President Jack Forbes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harmon Allison appeared before the board in the company of Mrs. Lockwood, ~'~ <br />Mr. & Mrs. Story, Mr. & Mrs. Moore, and Mr. & Mrs. Welker, in regard to the <br />condition of Mrs. Harriett Alexander's house located at 109 Morgan Street. All ~ <br />those appearing before the board gave their account of the poor condition of the <br />property in question. The group was advised by the board that they would investigate <br />the property to see if there is an ordinance violation in this matter. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Shrake appeared before the board in regard to water which drains on her <br />property on East Carlisle Street from the shopping center located on the north side <br />of East Carlisle Street. Trustee Fiscus advised Mrs. Shrake that the board would <br />investigate the situation to see what can be done to correct the problem. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee Edwards to allow the <br />following transfer of funds. Trustee Edwards second. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Trustee Overholser and Trustee Edwards will meet with street superintendent <br />Joe Beikman to outline the future of the street department. <br /> <br /> Board attorney Tim Currens advised Fire Chief Jim Bruner that the town does <br />not have the bonding ability needed to purchase land and construct an additional <br />fire house at this time. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards and second by Trustee Overholser to approve <br />the bills and claims. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the board at this time motion was <br />made to adjourn by Trustee Heald, second by Trustee Edwards.
