( A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by <br /> Commissioner Boyd to approve the financial report. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Gateway Project Update: Carl Kincaid and Cheryl Chalfant of Rundell <br /> Ernstberger & Assoc. presented the Master Plan for the Gateway and <br /> Corridor Project. Phase 1 includes a north entrance and south entrance, 'The <br /> north entrance will be at Highway 67 and Samuel Moore Parkway. The <br /> South entrance will be at Highway 67 and Merriman Road. A tall torch will <br /> be at Highway 67 and South Indiana Street along with some landscaping. <br /> There are 5 phases to the project. Two of the most expensive are the <br /> roundabout on Bridge Street and Indianapolis Road and the pedestrian <br /> bridge over Highway 67. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Gorman with a second by <br /> Commissioner Stultz to approve the Gateway Master Plan with the ability to <br /> move portion of the phases as needed. Motion carried 5-0 <br /> A motion was made to proceed with phase land approve the contract for <br /> Phase 1 was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by <br /> 6 Commissioner Stoltz. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by <br /> Commissioner Corman to table any votes on future contracts of phases. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Southbridge Update- Commissioner Corman reported to the commission <br /> there were to large pot holes to be fixed. One pothole is behind Big 0 and <br /> another coining out of the gas station on the entrance road. Also, the walls <br /> and heating air was going in the newly leased space called Roscoe's Tacos. <br /> Existing Inventory- Chclsey Matins reported Mooresville's inventory for <br /> empty buildings is only eight existing spaces. She stated out of 83 leads she <br /> has received, 55 were for existing buildings. Chelsey's request was for a <br /> 50,000 square foot building expandable to 150,000 square feet. <br /> Commissioner Watkins said they were thinking of was to build this size <br /> building on a 15 to 20 acre parcel. <br />
