June 5, 2001 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at 6:30 <br /> P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Members present were: President Tom Warthen, Andy Pygman, Toby Dolen, Mark <br /> Mathis, and John L. Clark. Attorney Steve Harris sat in for Tim Currens. No members <br /> were absent. <br /> <br /> Jim Taylor of Grace Missionary Church gave the prayer before the meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the <br /> minutes of May 22, 2001 meeting. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> President Tom Warthen announced this was the Public Hearing on an additional <br /> appropriation in the General Fund for $30,830.00. This amount was from the auction of <br /> police cars and is to be put into their car lease line item of the police budget for 2001. No <br /> one spoke for or against the additional appropriation. Motion was made by Councilman <br /> Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the additional appropriation of <br /> $30,830.00 from the General Fund. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported thirty-nine (39) calls, ten (10) impounds, <br /> and five (5) returned. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve <br /> payment of the claims except for a claim of $25.00 from Th-County Sports for a check <br /> fee. There is documentation the check was never sent to our bank thus the Town of <br /> Mooresville is not liable for the fee payment per State Board of Accounts. Motion <br /> carried 4-0. Councilman Mathis abstained~ <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the board at this time, motion was made <br /> by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, <br /> June 19, 2001, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> · Presldent, T~ W~'then <br /> <br />................. L. Clark. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was <br /> present. Mark Chambers of the North Madison Baptist Church gave the prayer. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve the <br /> minutes of the June 5, 2001 meeting.
