· ' Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve <br /> renewal with Safeco Life Insurance Company at a rate of Life: $.31 per 1,000 (up $.03) <br /> and AD & D rate the'same at $.04 per 1,000. Motion carded 5-0. The life insurance for <br /> each employee is a $50,000 policy and is paid by the town at no cost to the employee. <br /> Legal: President Tom Warthen presented to the council an addendum to add a cap on <br /> polarized light microscopy point count to check for asbestos and lead paint. This is <br /> limiting tests to ten--if the company feels it is necessary to do more tests, they would <br /> have to get approval from the Town Council. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, <br /> second by Councilman Clark to approve the addendum. Motion carried 4-0. Councilman <br /> Mathis abstained. <br /> President Tom Warthen informed the council the State will let bids for Main Street and <br /> South Indiana Street in December 2001 for resurfacing with the work to be done in April <br /> of 2002. <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported thirty-nine (39) calls, ten (10) impounds, ~ <br /> and six (6) returned. <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve <br /> payment of the claims. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman pygman to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carded 5-0. <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, September 4, 2001, <br /> at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. This will be a Public Hearing for Budget <br /> <br /> (,_ ~sident <br /> <br /> Tuesday, September 4,200 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council held an executive session in the Conference Room at <br /> 6:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall to discuss Real Property. Councilman Mark <br /> Mathis was not in attendance. Councilman Warthen, pygman, Dolen, and Clark were <br /> present.
