5;46 <br /> Ross Holloway of Holloway and Associates appeared before the town council requesting <br /> a sewer availability agreement for off site sanitary sewer lines for Shae Corporation. <br /> They are developing acreage on Landersdale and Hadley Roads. Mr. Holloway <br /> explained the route of the line. He said the lift station on the southeast comer of <br /> Karrington Estates would be taken out of commission. He said the Young addition could <br /> be added on the sewer and annexed into town. Mr. Young would still have to request <br /> sanitary hook-on. He also told the council a ten inch line will mn to the Shae property <br /> and a lift station could be added later to service Lakeview properties. Swinney Brothers <br /> was the lowest bid at $338,253.00. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by <br /> Councilman Dolen to enter into an Availability Agreement with Shae Corporation. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Ross Holloway also reported to the council he had submitted for a permit to IDEM to fill <br /> in the floodway at the Mooresville Cemetery to gain 200 more feet onto the 50 - 100 feet --~ <br /> to the floodway area. <br /> Universal Valuation: Councilman Mathis told the council the insurance carder suggested <br /> this be done. The Mooresville School Corporation does a property valuation on an <br /> annual basis. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman <br /> to allow Universal Valuation to appraise the buildings this year. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Cemetery Bids: Councilman Clark told the council he talked to McKinley at West <br /> Newton and he said Greenskeeper ( low bid) did a great job last year and they were going <br /> to have them back this year. Councilman Mathis reported he had talked to Robert Hill of <br /> Greenskeeper and they seemed confident in their ability to mow cemeteries, however, in <br /> 2001 the mowing company that had received the bid to mow Mooresville Cemetery left <br /> in the middle of mowing season and Sharp Lawn Co. came in and bailed the Town out on <br /> the other company' s contract price. He had talked to Ed Bucker, the Cemetery Sexton, <br /> and he had no problem with the services Sharp Lawn Co. provided. Motion was made by <br /> Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to accept Sharp Lawn's bid for a <br /> period of twelve months. Motion carried 3-1, Councilman Pygman opposed, and <br /> President Warthen abstained. <br /> <br /> Legal: Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to <br /> approve a Resolution to sell two Police Cars to Decatur Central for $8,500.00 each. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Maths, second by Councilman Clark to approve the <br /> fa'st reading of Ordinance #4, 2002, to amend the Salary Ordinance for Part time Court <br /> Administrative Clerk from $10.62 to $11.12 per hour. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> Dean Kays from the Mooresville Police Commission asked if the police needed a <br /> resolution to sell three more cars. Town Attomey Tim Currens told him they had to have <br /> a resolution for the Town of Mooresville, and the buyer had to have a resolution for their <br /> entity. <br /> <br /> President Warthen informed the council the State Bid sheet for a 2002 Ford F 150 for the <br /> Fire Department was $22, 349.75 or $7,891.56 per year for a three year lease. Motion <br /> was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve a three year <br /> lease for the Ford Fl50, 2002. Motion carried 5-0. The Travel-all would be retired, the <br /> Caprice would go to Fire Inspector Jim Bruner, and the Crown Victoria would go to <br /> Assistant Fire Chief Doug Allen. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported eighteen (18) calls, three (3) impounds, <br /> and one (1) returned. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve <br /> payment of the claims. Motion carded 54). <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a' motion was <br /> made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to adjoum the meeting. <br /> Motion carded 54). <br /> <br /> <br />
