· 196 <br /> <br /> Mr. John Kuptke of HNTB submitted and overview of the <br /> sanitary sewer system problems to the Town Council. The <br /> analysis of the problem is on file in the Clerk's office, <br /> and is filed as part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Council President Ballard advised the Council that he <br /> received a letter from residents on Carter Street stating <br /> that they had been advised that the town was going to <br /> widen Carter Street and they opposed this action. Street <br /> Superintendent Joe Beikman stated that there are no plans <br /> to widen Carter Street at this time. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor advised the Council <br /> that since his last report he has received thirty-two (32) <br /> calls, seventeen (17) animals have been impounded and five (5) <br /> have been returned to their owners. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br /> Heald to have town attorney Tim Currens prepare an ordinance <br /> to allow Judge Paul Sterrett to charge a fee for transmission <br /> of facsimilies from the court. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council <br /> at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Edwards, <br /> second by Councilman Viles. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council <br /> will be held Tuesday, September 21, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> September 10, 1993 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in special session Friday, <br /> September 10, 1993 at 12:00 noon at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Pat Overholser, Tim Viles, <br /> Steve Edwards and Steve Ballard. Council member Dick Heald was <br /> absent. <br /> <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens advised the Council that Steve <br /> Ballard, Gary Meyers, Bill Colbert, Jim Forrester, George Ditton, <br /> Steve Harris and Ann Whaley met with him in regard to the school <br /> crossing guards. The committee recommended the need for three <br /> additional crossing guards at the following locations: High Street <br /> and Jefferson Street, Main Street and Monroe Street, and Maple Lane --~ <br /> and St. Clair Street. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles to approve the recom- <br /> mendations from the interviews done by the school for school <br /> crossing guards at the three additional locations recommended <br /> by the committee. Councilwoman Overholser second the motion. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman <br /> Edwards, second by Councilwoman Overholser.
