2O2 <br /> <br /> Councilman Tim Viles commended the Mooresville Police Department <br /> for the work they have done in enforcing the speed limits on <br /> State Road 67. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jesse Hughes and Howard Gutherie of the Brookmoore Addition <br /> presented a petition to the Mooresville Town Council requesting <br /> sewer lines in the Brookmoore Addition. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker informed the <br /> Council that the public hearing for the proposed Economic Development <br /> Plan will be held Tuesday, November 23, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Mr. Haymaker also stated that he and ioren Rooney of <br /> H. J. Umbaugh presented the economic impact study of the Economic <br /> Development District to the Mooresville School Board on November 9, <br /> 1993. Mooresville School Superintendent Gary Meyer informed <br /> Mooresville Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker the school <br /> board is taking no position on the Economic Development District. <br /> <br /> It was announced the Mooresville leaf pick up program will <br /> continue until December 10, 1993. <br /> <br /> Council President Steve Ballard asked town attorney Tim Currens <br /> to write a letter to the Morgan County Council and AT & T inquiring <br /> as to the status of the 911 program. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he has had twenty- <br /> three (23) calls, seven (7) animals impounded, and five (5) animals <br /> returned to their owners in the past month. <br /> <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens advised Gordon Gamble, 565 Arlington <br /> Drive that the insurance company had denied his claim and the Council <br /> is not in a position to pay the claim. Mr. Currens advised Mr. Gamble <br /> that he could pursue payment of the claim through the channels <br /> provided under Indiana State law. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to close East Main Street, from Indiana Street to the <br /> north-south alley, on December 4, 1993 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. <br /> to accomodate the Victorian Christmas celebration. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Viles to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time, Councilman Overholser moved to adjourn, <br /> Councilman Viles second.
