223 Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Ballard to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman Viles. Motion carried unanimously. The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held July 5, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Court at Pioneer Pointe. President - ~ vv ATTEST: Clerk-Treasurer ~ July 5, 1994 The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session Tuesday, July 5, 1994 at the Mooresville Town Court at Pioneer Pointe, 215 E. High Street, at 7:30 p.m. Council members present were Tim Viles, Steve Edwards, Dick Heald, Steve Ballard and Pat Overholser. No Council members were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Mr. John Mills, 330 Iockerbie Street, appeared before the Council in regard to an easement for a storm sewer pipe which the town expressed interest i~ obtaining. The proposed easement is located on Mr. Mills' property. Mr. Mills explained to the Council that the area where the town would like to locate the storm drain pipe currently is the home of numerous species of wildflowers, trees and wildlife. Mr. Mills requested the town look at alternative areas to locate the needed storm drain. The Council took no action on this matter. Mr. Mark Peden appeared before the Council requesting annexation for the proposed Grandview Subdivision which will be a Davis home project located on Johnson Road. The Council reviewed their concerns stipulated at the last Town Council meeting. Street Superintendent Joe Beikman explained to the Council that Davis has assured the town that they will pave the 1,015 feet of roadway which will be in the town limits pending approval of this annexation. Town Attorney Tim Currens expressed concern in regard to the financial responsibility of necessary drainage ditches in this development and adjacent to this development. Mr. Chris White, Davis Development Vice President, assured Mr. Currens that Davis Development would install all necessary drainage in the proposed development and the county has guaranteed the developer they will maintain the ditch on county property. Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Ballard to approve the annexation of the Grandview Subdivision. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Ballard second by Councilman Edwards to adopt Resolution #1-1994 An Annexation Plan for the Town of Mooresville to annex 121.644 acres east of the Town of Mooresville at Hadley Road and Johnson Road. Motion carried unani- mously.
