Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will <br />be held July 5, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Court <br />at Pioneer Pointe. <br /> <br /> President - ~ vv <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk-Treasurer ~ <br /> <br /> July 5, 1994 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session Tuesday, <br />July 5, 1994 at the Mooresville Town Court at Pioneer Pointe, <br />215 E. High Street, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Tim Viles, Steve Edwards, Dick <br />Heald, Steve Ballard and Pat Overholser. No Council members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Mills, 330 Iockerbie Street, appeared before the <br />Council in regard to an easement for a storm sewer pipe which the <br />town expressed interest i~ obtaining. The proposed easement is <br />located on Mr. Mills' property. Mr. Mills explained to the <br />Council that the area where the town would like to locate the <br />storm drain pipe currently is the home of numerous species of <br />wildflowers, trees and wildlife. Mr. Mills requested the town <br />look at alternative areas to locate the needed storm drain. The <br />Council took no action on this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mark Peden appeared before the Council requesting annexation <br />for the proposed Grandview Subdivision which will be a Davis home <br />project located on Johnson Road. <br /> <br /> The Council reviewed their concerns stipulated at the last <br />Town Council meeting. Street Superintendent Joe Beikman explained <br />to the Council that Davis has assured the town that they will pave <br />the 1,015 feet of roadway which will be in the town limits pending <br />approval of this annexation. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens expressed concern in regard to the <br />financial responsibility of necessary drainage ditches in this <br />development and adjacent to this development. <br /> <br /> Mr. Chris White, Davis Development Vice President, assured <br />Mr. Currens that Davis Development would install all necessary <br />drainage in the proposed development and the county has guaranteed <br />the developer they will maintain the ditch on county property. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br /> Ballard to approve the annexation of the Grandview Subdivision. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to adopt Resolution #1-1994 An Annexation Plan for <br /> the Town of Mooresville to annex 121.644 acres east of the Town <br /> of Mooresville at Hadley Road and Johnson Road. Motion carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> <br /> <br />
