230 <br /> <br /> Councilman Viles informed the Council that the police department had <br /> investigated the traffic problem on Morgan Street in regard to the installation <br /> of a stop sign at the corner of Morgan Street and Jefferson Street. Councilman <br /> Viles advised the Council that he does not believe a stop sign would help the <br /> situation. Councilman Viles believes the problem can be solved by additional <br /> police patrol in this area. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Edwards to approve <br /> an escrow agreement for Knightbridge, Section II in the amount of $18,960.00 <br /> for sidewalks. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Edwards to have <br /> Councilman Viles file a conflict of interest form with the State Board of <br /> Accounts in regard to Councilman Viles' employment with the Town of Mooresville. <br /> Motion carried 4 - 0; Councilman Viles abstained. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Edwards to <br /> authorize $200,000.00 be allocated from Food and Beverage Funds to be spent <br /> on sanitary sewer line rehabilitation. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman Viles to have <br /> the Mooresville Town Council adopt a policy to not extend sanitary sewer lines <br /> outside the town limits of Mooresville. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman Ballard to have <br /> the Mooresville Town Council adopt a policy to have the developers availability <br /> fee's administered by one person, that person to be named by the Council, and <br /> all fees will be receipted into the developer availability fee fund and <br /> disbursed on a first in, first out basis by contract. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Councilman Ballard reported there were twenty-seven (27) animal control <br /> calls, three (3) animals were impounded and two (2) returned to their owners. <br /> <br /> The Council advised Joe Beikman to review handicap accessability to Town <br /> Hall and project the cost of this project. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman Heald to pay <br /> the bills and claims. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council <br /> at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilman <br /> Edwards. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council will meet in special session Monday, August 22, <br /> 1994 to hold the pre-adoption hearing for the 1995 budget at 7:30 p.m. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Court. The Mooresville Town Council will meet in s~ecial session <br /> Monday, August 29, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Court t~ adopt <br /> the 1995 Town budget. <br /> <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be <br /> held Tuesday, September 6, 1994 at the Mooresville Town Court at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
