The regular meeting of the Mooresvil!e Town Board of <br />Trustees was held Tuesday, June 20, 1989 at 7:30p.m. at the <br />Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Trustees present were Trustees Dick Heald, Pat Overholser <br />Steve Edwards, Jack Forbes and Mike Fiscus. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as sub- <br />mitted. <br /> Tim Holmes of Raffensburger & Hughes and Collette !q- <br />Knott of Umbaugh and Associates appeared before the board to <br />discuss refunding the 1984 Sewage Bond. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Overholser and second by Trustee <br />Heald to proceed with refunding the 1984 Sewage Bond using <br />$230,942.00 of invested funds to refinance the bond. Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> The board decided to meet in special session Tuesday, <br />June 27, 1989 at 7:00 p.m. to sign necessary papers for refinancing <br />the 1984 Sewer Bond and to work on the 1990 budget. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Jardan of First Benefit Corp. presented a self <br />insurance plan to the board. This plan would save the board <br />approximately $20,000.00 per year on insurance premiums. <br /> <br /> Board attorney Tim Currens read a resolution to the public <br />establishing a general improvement fund to fund sidewalk construc- <br />tion and repair in Mooresville. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker presented a side- <br />walk study to board indicating where sidewalks are most needed. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Heald and second by Trustee <br />Forbes to petition the State Board of Tax Commissioners for ai~-]~_ <br />hearing to establish a general improvement fund rate for the <br />Town of Mooresville. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Trustee Edwards and second by Trustee <br />Overholser to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville <br />Town Board of Trustees at this time motion to adjourn was made <br />by Trustee Heald, second by Trustee Forbes.
