Councillmembers absent were Mike Fiscus and <br /> Richard Heald. <br /> <br /> In the absence of Council President Fiscus Councilman Edwards <br /> chaired the meeting. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as sub- <br /> mitted. <br /> <br /> Mr. & Mrs. David White, 811 Westbrook Drive appeared before <br /> the Council and presented $11,900.00 of claims in regard to damage <br /> done to the White house due to sewer back-up. The Council took <br /> the claims under advisement. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br /> Councilman Forbes to give the Methodist Church Bible School per- <br /> mission to close East Harrison Street from Indiana Street to <br /> the first alley from July 30, 1989 through August 3, 1989 in the <br /> evening during Bible School. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Council- <br /> woman Overholser to allow the Lions Club to close East South <br /> Street during Old Settlers Picnic. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Gary Malone and Collette Irwin-Knott of H.J. Umbaugh pre- <br /> sent~d to the Council a financial outlook for the Mooresville <br /> Sewage account. The accounting firm recommended a rate increase <br /> of 11% to 16%. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by <br /> Councilman Forbes to approve Resolution #2-1989 a usolution to <br /> do a study on the rates of the Mooresville sewage system. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
