Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman Overholser <br />to approve the cleaning contract with Mc Mahon Cleaning Service. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman <br />Heald to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> ~]~ere being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town <br />Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Forbes and <br />second by Councilman Heald. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The next regular meeting of the M~oresville Town Council will be held <br />Tuesday, September 19, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at Town, s. Hall. ~ <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br />Clerk/Treasurer <br /> <br /> September 19, 1989 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, Sept- <br />ember 19, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council nmmbers present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Jack Forbes <br />and Steve Edwards. The Meeting was chaired by Council~ Overholser. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Catron, 217 St. Clair Street appeared before the <br />council requesting payment for water damage done to their personal belongings <br />during the recent rains. The council advised the Catron's that their claim <br />will be submitted to the town's insurance carrier. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Revitalization Comnittee requested that the Council <br />enforce the two hour parking ordinance in downtown Mooresville. <br /> <br /> After discussion on the downtown parking problems, motion was made by <br />Councilman Heald & second by Councilman Edwards to rec~est the M~es~. Police <br />Department refrain from enforcing all two hour parkin~ laws until the board <br />reviews all parking ordinances. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Counciln~n Heald and second by Councilman Edwards to <br /> approve a standard Practice and Procedure bim~ual for the police deparOnent. <br />Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker informed the Council that <br /> the Paul Hadley Memorial located at the corner of Indiana Street and Main <br /> Street will be held Friday, September 22, 1989 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> The Council discussed the possibility of establishing a reward fund to <br /> help in identifying the persons responsible for defacing the stop signs in <br /> towel. <br /> <br /> Quotes will be obtained to repair the leaking roof over the police garage. <br /> <br /> The Town of Mooresville is scheduled to have their budget hearing before <br /> the State Tax Conmission on November 28, 1989 at 9:00 a.m. at the Morgan County <br /> Court House. <br /> <br /> <br />
